Rufus le Dufus is an antagonist of Chilly Willy who appears in Cajun Chilly.
Biography[]
Rufus is a crawfish that is about twice the size of Chilly, making him a relatively small creature. He speaks with a French accent and is an accomplished chef with a cooking show, "Cooking With Rufus le Dufus," broadcast at the TV studio in the South Pole. He is a vain and selfish individual, as shown when he took credit for his assistant's idea and when he had Chilly, a fan of his, kidnapped and brought to his studio to be cooked.
At the South Pole's TV studio, Rufus took a phone call from his boss, who was unhappy with the low viewer count of Rufus's show and threatened to fire him if he didn't increase it. His assistant Wilbur repeats advice he had said many times, that Rufus needs to make more exotic-like dishes. Treating the idea as his own, Rufus sends Wilbur to kidnap Chilly, who was his number one fan and possibly the only one to send him fan mail (asking for all of his recipes and ingredients), planning to make penguin gumbo. Chilly resisted and made a mess of Rufus's show and cooking while repeatedly entertaining the camera. While Rufus set Wilbur to catch Chilly, the crawfish tried to maintain casual control in front of the camera; Wilbur, instead of catching Chilly, went in search of other exotic animals, coming up with the Badger and Maxie the Polar Bear, both of whom mauled Rufus before leaving. Rufus ran out of patience and abandoned his showmanship, focusing on cornering Chilly. When he was finally about to get him, Wilbur turned against him and trapped him in a pot, as Rufus's superior had seen the viewpoint skyrocket because of Chilly and so had given Rufus's job to the penguin. When Chilly decided to try cooking Rufus, the crawfish fled, vowing to return and get his revenge.
